18TH ANNUAL GUFC CONFERENCE & AWARDS PROGRAM HELD OCTOBER 29-31 IN AUGUSTA
This year's GUFC conference was held October 29-31 at the Marriott Augusta Hotel & Suites, Two 10th Street, Augusta, 30901. The theme of the 18th Annual GUFC Conference and Awards Program was "Clean Water, Clean Air - Community Trees and a Healthy Ecosystem." Attendees Enjoyed informative keynote addresses by Gary Moll, VP Urban Ecosystems Center, American Forests and Bobby Bagwell of North Augusta's Hammonds Ferry Development; outstanding educational sessions, and interesting tours, including a leisurely boatride down the historic Augusta Canal. Also scheduled were a bike ride, tree planting, and a look back at 20 years of the Georgia Urban Forest Council at the Wednesday night opening reception.
